I think this project really put me in the mood for fall. I started designing print material for this back in July- so I think I was ready for PS season faster than the average Karen.
For this project, I worked with a committee of TBE'ers. Our goal was to create a fun, family friendly festival to celebrate Simchat Torah. So bold, vibrant fall colors and clean typography was a must. After our first meeting, I put together a branding guide to review with the team.
After approval, we started planning all of our promotion, print, and event collateral. Overall, I designed:
The map was a bit of a challenge. Since most of our attendees would be Temple Members, we wanted to create a map that made sense to them, but was also legible for those outside our community.
It was also requested that we keep it simple, sweet, and family friendly.
Here's my first sketch, followed by my first draft.
Everything was drawn by hand! I used my Wacom tablet to trace over my original sketch, and to create some cute icons that represented our atrium, sanctuary, our sukkah, and food truck area.
It still needed a little something, so after a few meetings, it eventually turned into... this! Super proud of the final design.
For these, I just redesigned my finalized map to read vertically. Here's the final design!
I also designed a few pieces of print material to promote the Festival. These double sided, half page flyers went home with over 500 Rosh Hashanah orders from New England Country Mart.
I also designed 300 letter sized posters for folks to take home and put up on their fridge.
We also had a 24x36in poster printed for our lobby that adverteised the event.
As for festival signage, here's a sampling of some of the designs I created for the event space.
Since the Raffle was run by a different committee, I designed a cleaner, more on-brand looking design for their table. Here are some of the designs.
